Childcare tariffs 2025/26

From fall 2025, a new tariff system will be offered, with which you can book lunch and afternoon times for the individual days of the week. The tariff system is divided into four childcare tariffs:

Tariff 1 is the basic tariff and is automatically deposited for five days upon admission to a municipal kindergarten. Your child is therefore entitled to attend kindergarten from Monday to Friday until 1 p.m. free of charge and without lunch.

Depending on the extent of your employment , you can choose tariffs 2, 3 or 4 for the days of the week on which you require childcare. On the other days, tariff 1 remains valid. This means that your child will be looked after every day of the week until at least 1 pm. Depending on the workload, proof of work may be required. Please note that tariffs 2 to 4 cannot be combined. On the days on which you require afternoon care, you must therefore choose the higher rate.

Monthly costs 2025/26 without lunch

The childcare tariffs result in the following fees from the 2025/26 childcare year for children whose main residence is in Innsbruck:

an additional EUR 4.40 will be charged for lunch per meal ordered.
