| In this richly illustrated publication, Peter Adelsberger has succeeded for the first time in compiling a complete overview of the overall views of the Tyrolean capital in Druckgraphics. For this purpose, the author has combed through and cataloged the public Innsbruck graphic collections, a number of private collections, and the holdings of the various Innsbruck antiquarian bookshops. Instead of a representative cross-section, the aim was to present as complete an overview as possible of the overall views of Innsbruck in Druckgraphy, whereby not only the vedute relevant to the history of art and the city were included in the volume. In separate chapters, Adelsberger also attempts to show the formal development of Innsbruck's city vedute and provides an overview of the history of city vedute in general. |
