Youth Philharmonic

The Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of the Innsbruck Music School under the direction of Walter Enko is a string orchestra of the intermediate and advanced levels. It was founded on the suggestion of Dir. MMag. Dr. Wolfram Rosenberger in 2005.

Successes

The string orchestra celebrated its debut at the award ceremony of Prima la Musica in March 2006 in the Großer Stadtsaal in Innsbruck. The ensemble subsequently gave concerts at the European Forum Alpbach, the Congress Center Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Dogana Innsbruck. In April 2016, the young musicians even gave a concert at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig.

The Youth Philharmonic Orchestra is directed by Walter Enko, who takes great pleasure in applying his many years of experience as first violinist in the Tyrolean Symphony Orchestra Inn sbruck to his teaching activities at the Innsbruck Music School.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals take place on Mondays from 16:50 to 18:30 in the orchestra rehearsal hall during school hours.
