Over 100 teachers currently teach around 4,500 music students at the Innsbruck Music School. In addition to lessons in instrumental subjects, early musical education and the singing school, the music school offers a variety of free ensembles and supplementary subjects.
CONCERT & WORKSHOP
NEIL ZAZA BAND
Neil Zaza - known for his great technical skills and unique interpretations of classical works by Bach and Mozart, among others - will be performing with his band in Innsbruck from March 30 to 31, 2025.
The NEIL ZAZA BAND can be experienced on March 30 from 8 p.m. at the Treibhaus in Innsbruck.
The band will be holding a workshop for electric guitar, electric bass and drums on March 31 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Ursulinensaal.

Open day
Children, parents and anyone interested in music are cordially invited to the open day to get to know and try out instruments.
The open day will take place on April 29, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the music school.

History
200 years ago, on June 2, 1818, the Verein zur Beförderung der Tonkunst (Association for the Promotion of Musical Art) was founded in Innsbruck with an associated music school. The commemorative publication "200 Jahre Musikverein. Music School. Conservatory" of the Innsbruck City Archives shows the history of the institution.
